POSITION SUMMARY The Shipping Assistant will be responsible for loading and unloading incoming and outbound trucks and tarping loads when necessary. This position is also responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments and the organization and accuracy of inventory in the yard. Essential Functions Statement(s) •Affix labels on skids or products to identify shipping information. •Maintain paperwork for all loads. Verify shipping information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Complete specific forms and records when required. •Physically adheres tarps to outbound loads by climbing on top of flatbed trailers. •Requires climbing up and down ladders, wearing fall protection harness and working at heights. •Execute the picking of all sales orders using the WMS. Perform the delivery procedure according to the SOP. •Transfer finished product from the production end of the facility to the finished product yard physically and in the WMS system. •Verify that outbound shipments are damage-free and match packing list. •Previous forklift experience required. •Operate forklift to safely load and unload trucks.•Previous experience using RFT scanners a plus. •Previous CDL driving experience a plus. •Ability to lift 100+ lbs. •Must be comfortable working outdoors. •Perform housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness of work area. •Follow all plant safety procedures in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. •Performs daily cycle counts. •Perform other duties when assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Required Experience :1 year experience operating a forklift. Experience Required:
