POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for properly performing activities relative to assist the Extrusion Operator in efficiently operating the extrusion equipment and producing quality products. Essential Functions Statement(s) •Assistant the department in producing a quality product based on customer specifications. •Monitor the quality of the product (color, surface, size, etc...) to ensure customer satisfaction before being packed. •Perform placement of pallets and proper packaging techniques for finished material as directed. •Move material to designated areas, as needed, utilizing the forklift. •Assist Extrusion Operator with all machine cleaning functions including saws, tanks, etc... when necessary. •Communicate daily issues and pertinent information to other assistants, Operators and Team Leads as needed. •Assist Operators with preventive maintenance and general maintenance as required. •Perform housekeeping duties in the production area. •Follow all plant safety procedures in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. •Understand and follow all company policies, practices, and procedures. •Performs other assignments as directed. •Complete quality and production paperwork as necessary. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation; or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics. Required Experience: No prior experience necessary Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills Certifications & Licenses: Valid Drivers' License Forklift Certification Other Requirements: Ability to read. write and understand the English language. Basic mathematical proficiency in the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.
